Confirming all forecasts for new record tourists, compared with the same period last year, increasing attendance of foreigners in our country reached 20% for the month of May at five regional airports.
In particular, arrivals at airports Zakynthos, Chania, Heraklion, Corfu and Rhodes reached 800,618, from 664,372 in May 2012.
According to the daily, common component in all airports is the large increase up to 230% in the number of arrivals from Russia. It is worth noting that the first elements of the Greek consulate in Moscow show an increase in the number of visas for the first five months of over 66% compared to the same period last year.
